例えばmind という単語にはテキストの3ページにわたって解説と例文を入れてあります。 サイトの容量の関係上そのうちのほんの一部しか紹介出来ませんが、以下のような解説やイラストにたくさんの例文が示されています。 mind と言う単語はここの例文だけではなく、手を変え品を変えテキストのいたるところで出てきます。
mind 名詞 （数えられますが、ほとんどの場合mindと単数で使います） 脳みそのことをbrainと言いますが、脳みそが持つ思考の受け皿をmindと言います。 例えば、something is in my mind というと、somethingがあなたの思考の中にあるということですから、 そのことを考えているということです。Something came to my mindというと、 somethingがあなたの思考に入ってきたわけですから、あることを考えついたり、思いついたりしたわけです。

ある質問がふと頭に浮かんだりすると、次のように言うかもしれません。

ちょっと想像してみてください。あなたは今あるテストに合格するために猛勉強しなければなりません。 それで机に向かっています。そして机の上にはあなたの大好きな漫画の本が並んでいます。 何度読んでも飽きないとてもおもしろい本です。ついつい手を出してしまいます。

素晴らしい内容です。英単語の本当の意味と使い方が丁寧に解説されてあり、まさに目からウロコの連続。基礎単語の重要性をひしひしと感じています。 「We Love Japanglish」のコーナーも参考になり、「そー言えば自分もこんな間違いをよくしている」と恥じ入るばかり。 ＣＤはipodに入れて、いつでもどこでも聴けるようにしています。レポートも読ませていただきました。 自分の勉強方法がいかに効率の悪いものだったかということを思い知らされました。これだけでもかなりの価値があると思います。

いままで、英語関係のメルマガを数回購読したことがあるのですが、面白くなく、すぐに配信中止をしていました。しかし深堀先生のメルマガは、教材の復習的な要素が含まれているため、大変参考になっています。
